Cheryl’s Story

Bio Photo - Optimized.jpg

Cheryl is from Kingston, Jamaica. Much of Jamaican culture is centered around food, which Cheryl has always had a natural gift for cooking. She remembers the first meal she ever made on her own, curry chicken and steamed rice, at the young age of eight years old. From that day, whenever family and friends came to visit, Cheryl cooked for all their guest. She says cooking is her way to show others how much she loves them.

When she moved from Jamaica to New York City, cooking her favorite Jamaican dishes was one way she felt close to home. Her deep Jamaican roots are very dear to her and she has never stopped making her favorite dishes.

In December of 2012, Cheryl decided it was time to expand her kitchen. She began catering events and attending local festivals in the St. George, UT area. She continues to cater and has decided to open the first Jamaican restaurant in Southern Utah.
